Small Business Saturday: November 26, 2016

On Behalf of | Nov 21, 2016 | Business Law |

With Small Business Saturday less than one week away, we encourage everyone to go out and support their favorite small business. On September 14, 2016, thirty six (36) Republican and Democratic Senators introduced a senate resolution, which recognizes November 26, 2016 as “Small Business Saturday.”

As one co-sponsor of the resolution stated, “[s]mall businesses represent over 99% of all employers in the United States, contributing billions of dollars to our national economy and driving innovation and job creation throughout the country…. Small Business Saturday is an opportunity to highlight local businesses and their contributions that support jobs in our communities and keep our economy moving. I encourage people across the country to participate in Small Business Saturday and support small businesses year-round.”

As attorneys to many local small businesses (and a small business ourselves), we couldn’t agree more! Year after year, small businesses prove to be the lifeblood of the United States economy and we need to support them now more than ever. We encourage you to participate in driving our economy forward by supporting the many great small businesses in our community.
