Who Will Inherit My Estate?

by | May 27, 2014 | Estate Planning |

Who will  inherit your estate depends on whether or not you have an estate plan completed. If you have a Will or a Trust, you have designated beneficiaries that will receive the value of those assets which remain in your estate at the time of your death.

If you do not have a Will or a Trust, the distribution of your assets will depend on title to those assets, and California state law. These two primary factors will determine who receives the value of those assets which remain in your estate at the time of your death without a Will or Trust. Without a Will or Trust, your estate may also be subject to the additional costs and delays associated with probate.
